About Claire
Having completed a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and lived in Spain, I am a very competent Spanish speaker with plenty of experience in learning techniques and finding methods that work. I aim to make language learning fun and engaging to help you achieve the best you can. I have experience working 1:1 with students who (for a range of reasons) may struggle with: • Feeling overwhelmed by tasks • Procrastination • Organisation • Focus • Comprehension and organising thoughts • Understanding what the question is asking My qualifications: • MA Gender Studies (Sociology) - First, University of Sussex • BA German and Spanish - 2:1, University of Southampton • 5 years teaching and tutoring experience (students aged 4-18) • Current DBS

Feeling confident when using a second language can be a challenge, but by taking it one step at a time we will build confidence together! I will help you to: • Work through comprehension questions methodically • Overcome fear of making mistakes and improve fluency • Identify revision and learning techniques to improve accuracy and vocabulary I'll expect you to come to lessons with some goals in mind, and we'll identify areas you struggle with together. We will discuss your learning process and ways we can break down barriers. FREE FIRST LESSON Feel free to book in a free first session to decide if Spanish tutoring is for you: • 30 minute assessment. • Offered via Zoom or at my home. • We will have a chat about you, your learning process and the particular areas you would like to focus on in our lessons.
