About Damo
Hi! My name is Damo, I have been playing music for roughly 10 years and have started taking it to a serious/medium professional level for about 7 years now.
I grew up around a diverse taste of music and genres alike from family by blood and not blood. My main roots always have been in metal and rock, but I also have great knowledge in reggae, jazz, blues, Indian classical, etc.
I'm familiar with so many of the greats which is a huge bonus if somebody were to come to me asking how they could sound like a certain player, and 99% of the time I can teach them a good chunk of that player's quirks in just an hour or 2.
Outside of music though, I enjoy paddle boarding, eating, spending time thinking about how the universe works, and hanging out with my closest friends.

A typical lesson with me is highly determined by what your goals are as a player, and what I think you could improve on as a tutor.
Before regular weekly lessons with my students, I communicate with them greatly beforehand to get an idea of their current skill level on the instrument, talk to them about what they hope to achieve themselves and most importantly, what they don't know anything about so I am aware of where I can start depending on the different subjects we will talk about in music (technique and theory-wise).
What separates me from other teachers is mostly my very flexible schedule. This means I'm totally okay with canceling a day before or the day of a lesson, as well as planning a lesson to do the day of! Just communicate with me a few hours beforehand and most of the time I'm available. I just like to make sure that most of the time we don't go 2 weeks in a row without a lesson because I am a firm believer in education that consistency is key to obtaining the knowledge that is presented in front of you.
The lessons are for anyone! The only thing that would stop that is if your goals or something else as part of this student/teacher relationship are not being entirely communicated to me correctly.
