About Sophie
I have over 6 years experience teaching beginner children and adults, triathletes, open water swimmers, and people with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Through competitive swimming in my youth and now open-water swimming, I have acquired a deep understanding of all four strokes.

I focus on teaching efficient strokes to people of all abilities and backgrounds. Whether you are combating a life-long fear of the water or refining your stroke for open -water/triathlons, I will tailor my sessions to ensure you meet your goals.
My lessons always focus on building a strong foundation for all strokes, focusing first on body position in the water. This way, technique can be held with ease rather than force. I teach swimming by breaking each stroke down into accessible drills tailored for ability, ensuring all aspects of the stroke can be performed confidently and consistently in isolation before putting it all together. You shouldn't feel out of your depth when swimming.
