About Soren
I am an experienced ESL tutor with 14+ years of teaching high school and college students, passionate about helping learners develop fluency, confidence, and practical English skills. My teaching philosophy is centred on personalisation, ensuring each lesson is designed to suit the student’s learning style, level, and objectives.
I combine grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking instruction with interactive activities and real-life examples to make learning meaningful and effective. I focus on creating a supportive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable participating, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace.

My ESL teaching methodology is founded on the C³P framework—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, Problem-solving. Creativity is nurtured through interactive storytelling, role-playing, and project-based exercises that inspire students to express themselves freely and use English imaginatively.
Communication is emphasised through discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises that build fluency, listening skills, and comprehension. Compassion ensures lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, providing guidance, encouragement, and feedback to foster motivation and confidence.
Problem-solving is embedded via scenario-based tasks, real-world applications, and analytical exercises, enabling students to apply English skills practically while developing critical thinking. I also teach complementary subjects such as reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary building to support holistic academic growth.
This approach cultivates learners who are confident, creative, empathetic, and capable of using English effectively in diverse contexts.
