About Sophie
A French native speaker with excellent overall knowledge of the linguistic and cultural aspects of the French language acquired through third level education, teacher training and over 20 years teaching experience at Primary, Secondary and Third level. Also as a law graduate with experience translating, interpreting and representing clients at court level, I have a keen awareness of the need to capture the essence of original text and statements to reflect all of the subtle nuances in the target language. I have excellent interpersonal skills and possess the ability to perform effectively under pressure when required. I am enthusiastic and conscientious and can provide a high-quality French to English, English to French translator and interpreter service to both individuals and organisations.

Together with the student, we will work from the exam paper book to create familiarity with the format and expectations of the task at hand. During our hour class, we will tackle every aspect of the exam while working on grammatical points and tenses. The student will be given homework every single week with thorough correction and feedback as well as substantial notes, phrases and idiomatic expressions.
