About Laura
Ciao! I’m Laura, and I’m thrilled to be your Italian teacher! Having grown up in a bilingual family in Italy, I’ve always been passionate about languages, culture, and helping others communicate in a new way. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students from all over the world—from complete beginners to advanced learners—helping them unlock the beauty of the Italian language in a fun, personalized, and relaxed environment. I believe learning should be a journey, not a race. My approach is tailored to your unique goals, needs, and learning style. Whether you’re looking to improve conversational skills, ace an exam, or deepen your understanding of Italy’s rich culture, I’ll be right there with you every step of the way. I also know how important it is to feel at ease during lessons, so expect a warm, lighthearted atmosphere where making mistakes is just part of the process. ☺️ I’m not just a teacher—I’m your learning partner, here to support you through every twist and turn. Whether we’re tackling grammar, vocabulary, or simply enjoying a chat in Italian, my goal is for you to leave each lesson feeling confident, refreshed, and excited for the next one. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from one of Italy’s most renowned universities, which for a period of time led me to South America. There, I had the opportunity to reconnect many descendants of Italians with their cultural roots—a work I had already started in Italy. Through these experiences, I’ve worked with people from diverse backgrounds, tailoring my lessons to fit their needs and helping them build their confidence in speaking Italian. The most rewarding part of teaching is seeing my students grow. Many started out unsure of their ability to speak Italian, but by the end of our lessons, they were confidently using the language in real-life situations. Some, who had visited Italy, reached out to catch up. We enjoyed chatting in Italian, sharing a meal, and celebrating the journey of learning together. ☺️ These moments of connection are what make teaching so special to me.
