Hello, I am an Italian Film student in Glasgow. I have previously lived in Australia and Cornwall. I love languages, especially my mother tongue. I believe in a practical approach and use of the vocabulary. My lessons will focus on grammar and spelling at first, since they are the basis. I will also help you expand your vocabulary by studying different topics each lesson.
Throughout my classes I always communicate in Italian even with beginners as I find this helps improve comprehension the best (I resort to English only when needed). I like to build a professional and friendly rapport with my students and like to build my lessons around their interests and needs.
Lessons include a mix of conversation, reading, writing and listening, with opportunities to build a solid vocabulary and grammar base.. but I'm happy to be guided by you and can focus more or less on whichever elements are most important to you. I used mixed media - books, laptop, imagery - and can suit the pace, level and style of learning to your preference.
Hi! I am an Italian au pair in Glasgow. I'm 22 years old and I have been teaching English and Italian for 6 years now. I have a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages. I believe learning new languages is a creative and funny way to know people and to promote a better understanding of new cultures. My lessons would help you learn my mother tongue in a modern and funny way.
Hello there! My name is Carla, and I am going to be your online teacher. I have been teaching English for three years now, to Spaniards and Italians, mostly. I have also been teaching Spanish and Italian to English people. Many of the learners start from the very basic. Going through exercises and practice, the learners achieve a great level of communication, reading and comprehension.
Preparing students for the exam using documents, books, recordings and any material necessary to improve the language.
I have been giving private lessons for 8 years and I have trained about 25 students who passed the exams brilliantly (overseas students graduated in Italy). The key to my lessons is to be patient and be funny talking about each topic and in any circumstance.
Teaching my native language is a challenge that I want to undertake with all those interested in it and have to achieve specific academic results. My main aim is to make all my students passionate about the Italian language and culture. I structure my lessons based on my students' necessities and priorities.
I am a native Italian and I hold a BA and 2 postgraduate in translation; I have the most complete and thorough knowledge of the Italian language, in all its aspects, contexts, uses and hues. I am an inspirational teacher, I transmit to my students the passion for my job and the love for the subject I teach.
Problem solving; Deductive and Inductive and Discussion.
I am passionate about languages and enthusiastic about teaching language. Some students come to me feeling unconfident and generally struggle to remember grammar rules or vocabulary, some others may not feel confident to express themselves.
Thanks to my experience I am actually able now to offer Italian lessons at all levels. I am reliable, easy going, organised and I try to make sessions interesting and constructive in order to let my students reach their potential as easily as possible.
Buongiorno e buonasera a tutti! My name's Maria and I am a patient, warm and supportive Italian teacher from Cagliari, Sardinia. Italian is my native language, but I've been studying English since I was 4 years old.
I would follow the methods that I learned from my previous experience in high-school, by providing materials for speaking, comprehension and writing exercise. I offer different categories of lessons: grammar, writing, speaking or specific lessons in accordance with students. I will always dedicate the first part of the lesson for the correction of any exercises completed by the student.
I base my classes on reaching mutually agreed goals which we will set at the beginning of the class and work towards over a timeframe, reviewing the goals regularly. Depending on what you want to learn and on your goals, we can agree a different teaching/learning strategy.
Kind and approachable tutor, passionate about teaching. My native language is Italian which makes me the perfect tutor to help you with pronunciation, speaking, reading, grammar and writing. Lessons will be tailored to you, your goals and your current ability.
I am currently studying economic and finance in Oxford and I have studied languages and literature in Italy. Languages are my passion! Learning is fun and the method I use is interactive. Italian is my first language and the level is quite high.
Hi everyone! My name is Ana, I'm 25 and I'm currently a masters part time student at SOAS. I have a bachelors degree in applied languages at University of Torino, and my specialisation is foreign languages (English and Japanese). I also know French, Spanish, Romanian and, of course, Italian. If you're reading this, it means you are interested in learning Italian.
In a nut shell, I am educated to PhD level. I am an intellectual historian. I also hold a master's degree in Translation and another in Environmental Studies. I have a PGCE in MFL and a BA in Italian Studies. I have taught around the world and as such, I have been exposed to different and differing people from all walks of life.
I based my lessons on a comunicative approach. It emphasizes the learner’s ability to communicate various functions, such as asking and answering questions, making requests, describing, narrating and comparing. task assignment and problem solving are the means through which the communicative approach operates, two key components of critical thinking.
My teaching method is: lets talk about something that you are passionate about.. Only in my language rather than in yours! Italian has a lot of rules, and exceptions, and exceptions of the exceptions. Let be practical and learn all the rules and words, while enjoying having a conversation with the rules and words you already know.
My teaching approach will be based on the consumer and will be personalized each time. I like to do parallelism between English and Italian because there are different similarities between them. The lesson will fit every age group and it will vary with the level of the consumer.
I am very flexible when it comes to teaching styles so I can adapt to your needs and focus on what you are most interested in. I am willing to find teaching material which would allow you to improve or further understand a certain topic or follow the tasks/lessons from your teacher in case you were already taking Italian classes.
I focuse on conversation, sentence structure, listening and comprehension, reading and comprehension and writting! Conversation is the most important part of a language when you travel. It is very important my students to be able to learn conversation in my lessons then when they go to Italy they can speak to native speakers.
Learn having fun is much easier than open a book and read an explanation. Starting from the language structures I like to create concrete examples and make my students be comfortable with any kind of situation they have to face with in their everyday life.
I am extremely passionate about languages and I want to share this with High School Students in order for them to understand the important of languages and how fun they can be to learn! I really want to use my language skills to help pupils succeed in their exams.
I retain the formal authority role by showing students what they need to know. My lessons include multimedia presentations, activities, and demonstrations. This style gives me the opportunities to incorporate a variety of formats including lectures and multimedia presentations.
As a native Italian, I have the knowledge and understanding of the language, providing you with the help needed to excel in Italian! I personalise all my classes to your individual needs, to ensure your progression and accommodate your learning pace. My lessons focus on (but are not limited to) grammar, conversation, pronunciation and vocabulary.
It depends a lot on the student's level. For beginners and intermediate students I usually prepare some exercises and reading on a certain topic or construction and then have short conversations to practice it. For more advanced students I try to base the lesson on conversation alone and tackle different issues as we encounter them.
- The writer is able to speak various languages but for the sake of keeping this text short Italian is the language with the most repertoire - First your level should be assess, then a tailored program ( just speak/writing or both ) will be selected for you. - Big fan of practice practice and practice together.
