About David

I'm a teacher by profession, and despite writing for the 11+ during the day, I'm still keen to help children improve their performance. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing children improve their confidence and results.
My latest national project was the Scholastic Home Tutor NVR book, which is in the shops now.
I have many interests away from teaching, but this is still my professional life!

About the lesson

I'm a specialist in all things 11+. For over twenty years, I've been getting children through their tests; in the last ten years it's been all I do, having stepped back from the classroom. I'm highly in demand as an 11+ content writer, but I still teach online after school in the week. I'm calm, professional, very experienced and I have lots of experience working with shy or SEN children. All sessions are 60 minutes unless you want half-hour sessions. I have full DBS clearance, and these days work only over Zoom.

David taught my children a number of years, during his time, we found him extremely helpful, approachable and very honest and dedicated, it was sad to see him leave, my children enjoyed working with him and he helped them a lot with their subjects. I will have no hesitations to recommend him.

David supported our son with extra school tuition in the area of english, english literature and verbal reasoning. Our son thought he was an amazing teacher which is quite something for a 11 year old. Our son always said David was really interactive and as parents, we saw a difference in our son's ability which was evident in school assessment and reports too.
