About Lyra
I’m a fashion design graduate with professional experience working in the fashion industry. Over the years, I’ve guided many students through their creative process — from building portfolios to developing strong design identities.
What matters most to me as a tutor is individuality. I never teach with a formula. Every student is different, and I always adapt my approach to their personality, rhythm, and creative needs. I believe that being a teacher means guiding, not shaping — helping students discover their own ideas instead of following someone else’s pattern.
Teaching also inspires me. I see every lesson as a conversation — a chance to exchange ideas, discover new perspectives, and grow together creatively.

My lessons are for fashion design students and applicants who want to refine both their creative process and technical understanding. I’ve guided RCA postgraduate fashion design students and mentored applicants to leading fashion schools, helping them strengthen concept, narrative, and visual identity.
We’ll work through the full design journey — from concept research, moodboard and collage, to sketchbook development, fabric manipulation, and textile exploration to better understand how materials behave and communicate ideas.
You’ll also gain practical insight into pattern making and draping, learning how to construct and deconstruct garments to explore proportion, silhouette, and emotion through structure.
You can choose between one-off consultations for focused feedback, or a complete portfolio mentorship that develops your project from start to finish.
Every session is calm, analytical, and tailored to your direction — designed to help you think, design, and create like a true fashion designer.
