Methodology
My teaching method is fun, hands on and very visual. Learning about the creative process means doing it and trying things for yourself so I will encourage experimentation in order to find your best inner fashion designer. Patience Is also key as ideas aren’t going to form straight away, they take building on concepts and design drawings in order to flourish into something exciting. What I can teach: concept building, design drawings; initial and secondary, sewing techniques and construction and pattern cutting, editing patterns and making patterns.
Experience
After finishing university in May with a first class honours, I wanted to share my knowledge of the industry positively by tutoring anyone that wants to improve their grade or just fulfilling a hobby. Teaching is something I’ve always wanted to go into and whilst my knowledge of the subject is fresh there is no better time. I have industry experience interning at XU ZHI last summer. Equally, I am in the process of launching my own womenswear label.
