About Vishnu
Hi! I'm Vishnudev, a FIDE-rated chess player from Kerala, India.
I have represented my school in national-level competitions and have experience playing both over-the-board and online chess.
I enjoy breaking complex chess ideas into simple, practical concepts that students can immediately apply in their own games.
My goal isn't to make students memorize hundreds of opening moves—it's to help them understand how to think during a game, identify good candidate moves, avoid common mistakes, and gradually build confidence.
I mainly teach beginners and intermediate players (roughly up to 1400–1600 online rating). Every student learns at a different pace, so I adapt my lessons to their current level and focus on steady improvement through practical games, discussion, and homework.
Lessons are available in English, Malayalam, and Hindi.
