About Lily
Hi, My name is Lily Zhou, a 23-year-old FIDE WCM chess master from Canada. I currently reside in Toronto, Ontario. I have a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Waterloo, and I am currently working as a consultant at Deloitte. My chess journey began at the age of 9. By the time I was 12 years old, I had won first place in the Canadian Youth Chess Championships, third place in both the Pan American Youth Chess Championships and the North American Youth Chess Championships, and earned the title of WCM. Although I had focused more on my education in subsequent years, I had reignited my passion for chess at the beginning of 2025. In my free time, I enjoy playing Blitz and Bullet chess online, lifting, and traveling!

About the lesson

The first lesson will be free of charge, and I will begin with identifying a student's main areas for improvement by analyzing their games to find common patterns in their mistakes. Once these are identified, I will find a personalized improvement plan.
I use Teams or Discord for communication during sessions and leverage Lichess studies to analyze lines and positions. After a session, I will assign homework tailored to the student.
Additionally, I am always available to answer any of my students' questions outside of session hours and provide support during their tournaments, ensuring continuous progress and development.
