About Jade
LA native Jade Richard-Craven graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 2015 with a B.A. in Media Studies and an English minor. Then, Jade started as a Writers’ Production Assistant on Netflix and Marvel’s hit series, Luke Cage for two seasons. Since then, Jade has helped develop and produce scripts and contributed on pitches at Amazon, Apple, and Paramount.
Most recently, Jade sold, wrote, and produced Gridiron Grind, a diverse coming of age sports film for Tubi Original films, slated to premiere this summer. By reflecting upon her experiences, Jade aims to create content that normalizes taboo subjects:

Hey, I'm Jade! My lessons will break down screenwriting from creating dynamics characters and clever dialogue to writing beat sheets of every action in a scene to outline to first draft.
Screenwriting is tough, but it's fun and incredibly rewarding. As a film/tv screenwriter with 8+ years of experience, I love teaching others how to make their stories come to life.
Each week or so, I will assign optional homework based off of your interests to analyze your favorite films, shows and scripts. I have a plethora of recommendations for screenwriting Youtube videos, books, and other tools if needed.
Lessons can be tailored to anyone 16+ at any writing level. If you are more experienced, I'm happy to proofread a finished draft for notes or teach you from ground zero.
I'm very open to discussing the right number of lessons for you!
