About John
I am an avid Film fan and lover of various art forms music, Painting, Drawing and most of all Film. I am a firm believer in the power of editing, A film can have a completely different feeling, plot, outcome, and message from changes made in the editing room. I focus on this area and help you learn a lot of the psychology and theory behind editing and of course the practical elements as well.
I can also help you with your editing on youtube as these two styles of editing are very different but I can help you with both.

My teaching methodology is maximizing results with limited tools. Editing is about how to play on someone's expectation their emotional response and I prefer being able to really dig into these aspects of a film so one understands they don't need to know the fanciest techniques to know how to elicit an emotional response from an audience.
I discuss film theory, the results of edits, and of course go over the basics of editing and how to use those to create a bigger picture.
I will show you how to edit seamlessly as not to jar the audience.
