About Ybira
I am a filmmaker, producer and film & television professional with experience working across productions for the BBC, Channel 5 and Netflix, as well as independent feature films. I am currently working on a BBC production and developing two independent feature films. With over 15 years of teaching experience and professional industry knowledge, I offer practical, supportive classes covering filmmaking, production and the journey from script to screen.

Learn filmmaking from script to screen with a working industry professional. Classes will focus on developing practical skills in production planning, script breakdowns, scheduling, crew roles and set organisation, while gaining the confidence to understand and work within real film production.
Based on my production-office and filmmaking experience, I offer lessons around:

• Script breakdown
• Scheduling and stripboards
• Call sheets and production paperwork
• Pre-production planning
• Working with departments
• Crew roles and hierarchy
• Locations and logistics
• Travel & accommodation for cast/crew
• Production budgeting basics
• How to prepare for your first professional set
• How to move from student/independent filmmaker into the industry
• Producing a short film from script to shoot
• Film project development
• Portfolio/CV preparation for film jobs
• Understanding the difference between APOC, Production Coordinator, Producer, AD department, etc.
I also teach how to read, prepare and develop production documentation, communicate effectively with different departments, and approach a professional film set with confidence. We can explore practical networking beyond the set, including film festivals, industry events and professional contacts. The classes are designed to support your career development and learning curve through practical exercises, real-production-based templates and guidance tailored to your goals.
