About Emily
I have a varied experience within the film industry. I can help you understand about film theory and how it translates into Italian neorealism, German Expressionism, French auteurs, Hollywood and American Independent Cinema. From a production aspect, I can help you understand about set etiquette and what it takes to put together a production and/or run a set. Additionally, I can help you take your screenplay to the next level by assisting you in creating real characters with depth that have an arc and a storyline that is tight and nuanced. I am happy to work with beginners who are green in the industry as well as those who may be experienced in the industry in other areas but have an interest in creating their own projects. Each lesson will be customized to your needs, whether you have a screenplay or film ready for the next steps or if you have an idea for a screenplay but don't know what to do next. Whatever your goal, I will help you achieve it!

I am happy to work with beginners, who are green in the industry and those who may be experienced in different areas in the industry but are looking to carve out a new path. Each lesson will be tailored to your needs. If you are looking for film theory, I will prepare lessons to help you understand the elements of film and how they impact and relate to one another. If you are looking for advice as to how to produce a film, I will walk you through the steps of film production from creating schedules to organizing the set. If you have an idea for a screenplay or a screenplay in hand, we will work together to help you write that first draft or revise your current draft and bring it to the next level. Whatever your goal, we will work together to achieve it!
