Filmmaking is best learned by understanding both the craft and the thinking behind it. My approach combines practical industry experience with an appreciation of cinema, storytelling and visual language.
Classes can be tailored according to the student's interests and experience. We can explore topics such as film appreciation, storytelling, direction, camera, editing, video production and understanding how different cinematic techniques are used to create meaning and emotion.
A typical class may involve discussing a concept, studying examples from films or other visual content, and then breaking down how and why certain creative choices work. Wherever possible, I like to connect theory with practical exercises and real-world production experiences from my 12+ years in the industry.
Filmmaking is something that I love and the more I talk about it makes me learn more. Every time I rewatch a movie I learn something about it and that is what I want to share as much as possible.
My classes are suitable for school and college students, aspiring filmmakers, content creators, working professionals, or anyone with a genuine interest in cinema and visual storytelling. Whether you are just beginning or looking to deepen your understanding of filmmaking, the sessions can be adapted to your level and goals.
