About William
Hi my name is Will. I am a Final Year University Student studying Mathematics, who also studied Math and Further Math at both GCSE and A Level.
Not only do I have experience in private tutoring, but throughout A Level and University I have assisted my friends and peers with topics they needed help with. The enjoyment of helping others is why I continue to tutor and what makes me an effective teacher.
I aim to not only help my students to achieve the grades they aspire for but to improve their confidence and enjoyment of Math as a subject. I truly believe in Math that confidence is critical for achieving higher grades so I always strive to make sure my tutees leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they entered.

I structure my lessons based on what the students specific needs are. Aiming to highlight topics they struggle in with the goal not just to help their understanding but also their confidence in Math. With an emphasis on repetition and guided feedback.
My lessons are typically an hour long and start by going through some topics we have looked at the session before to test understanding and memory. Followed by tackling a specific topic where we will go through plenty of examples, identifying any mistakes as we go. I also like to use past papers in my lessons as that directly prepares the student for the exam.
I have a years experience of tutoring GCSE Math (Higher) and am looking to tutor A Level Math as well. I will work with students of all levels studying these two subjects. I am less familiar with the Lower GCSE Math curriculum but I am still open to tutoring students taking this subject.
If relevant, I attained a 9 in both Math and Further Math GCSE, A* in both Math and Further Math A Level, and am currently predicted a First at undergraduate degree level.
