About Winston
I am a medical student in my 5th year, have been teaching my peers throughout my years, privately and as part of the core curriculum as well. Have done both one to one, and class teaching. One to one students have shown tremendous improvement with my teaching and advice on learning techniques.

I am a very charismatic and passionate teacher. I really want my students to do well, and i think the first step is getting the student to enjoy learning. I aim to understand the students preferred learning style e.g. using VARK questionnaire (Visual x Auditory x Reading x Kinaesthetic (touch/movement related)).
This helps me decide learning strategy, e.g. encouraging use of videos, images, speaking to the student or encouraging reading of notes. It is important to engage the student as much as possible.
I teach in a way that is effective and enjoyable for students. I get students to think critically, to understand concepts rather than memorise. This is very important in applying theory to practice in medicine.
