Though my academic career, I have experience tutoring students in the education system at varying stages and of different abilities. I worked as a tutor for an establishment while pursuing my MChem degree (1st Class 2019) before leaving to pursue my PhD in medicinal chemistry in collaboration with GSK (in final year). I am finally returning to tutoring to pass on my enthusiasm for the subject.
The learning experience must be planned and tailored to the specific needs of a student which takes careful planning on the part of a tutor and willingness and active participation of the tutee. My usual approach is to have an initial discussion about your needs and academic goals, and together we can come up with a suitable plan and work to achieve these goals in good time. Please don’t fear, chemistry can be fun and easy :)!
