About Phoebe
I am a Grade 8 pianist with a specialism in composition, and I have over five years of experience teaching piano to students of different ages and abilities.
Alongside teaching, I run the Royal Holloway Conductors' Collective, where I have developed valuable leadership, communication, and mentoring skills while working with musicians in a collaborative environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain musical concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and help students build confidence.
I love teaching because I believe music should be accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for everyone. Whether you're preparing for GCSE or A Level Music, improving your music theory, or simply wanting to deepen your understanding of music, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where you can achieve your goals at your own pace.

My lessons use a variety of interactive materials and practical examples to help students understand concepts clearly and build confidence at their own pace.
Lessons typically last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the student's age, level, and learning needs. Each session is structured to keep students engaged while allowing plenty of time for questions and practice.
I achieved high grades in both GCSE and A Level Music, with a particular specialism in composition. My strong academic background enables me to explain music theory in a clear, approachable way for learners of all abilities.
My lessons are open to students of any age, whether you're just starting out, preparing for exams, or looking to strengthen your understanding of music theory. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where every student can develop their skills and enjoy making progress.
