About Carlos
I am a student composer at Ball State University. I am on my fourth and final year in my undergraduate studies. I have completed many theory courses required for my degree and have tutored many of my friends and colleagues in the past year.
Coming from a compositional background, I teach theory with composition in mind. Explaining the why and how it works is crucial for a deeper level understanding. Relating theory concepts to modern music is my main focus to aid with comprehension.

I am available throughout most of the day. I am flexible with meeting hours from early in the morning until about dusk. I will make sure that I explain the material in several forms to help with understanding. I am always open to constructive criticism, if something is wrong or need something explained differently do not be afraid to let me know. I always strive for reliability in my teachings!
