About Mia
I am a recent first-class Biomedical Science graduate, looking to pursue a Masters degree!
Prior to this, I obtained 3 Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry at grades A*, A, A respectively. Since summer of 2019 I have tutored GCSE students in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and A-level students in Biology and Chemistry.

I always plan my lessons beforehand so there is no time wasted deciding what to cover that hour.
The initial lesson will involve identifying what level the student is at and any areas of weaknesses. We shall discuss the preferred learning style, topics previously taught and any upcoming exams.
At the beginning of every additional lesson, we shall begin with a 5 minute starter and go over the learning objectives. The main bulk of the lesson will involve covering the chosen topic, using a learning style best suited to the student. My lessons will always end with a few exam questions to consolidate understanding.
I deliver all my lessons virtually either using google meet, microsoft teams or zoom and at the end of each lesson I can share all the notes with the student if desired. Finally, I try to keep my lessons as fun as possible in the hope that it may spark some passion for the subject and help students remember the information we have discussed.
