About Joseph
I am a friendly graduate, who has always enjoyed learning and helping others. I am passionate about creating positive relationships with students, to help them fulfil their academic potential and set them in good stead for later life.
I aim to create an encouraging environment, in which students feel engaged and comfortable to ask questions. I strive to build the confidence of my pupils by ensuring their voice is heard and giving them a genuine understanding of their subjects.
I am DBS checked and am currently studying Physiotherapy at King's College London, in order to pursue a career in healthcare. I take pride in being personable, while also being reliable and professional.

I believe that tutoring must be tailored to each student individually. Different students have their unique ways of learning, so I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, which is adapted to their specific needs.
I will identify the areas which students need most support on and work through these at a pace which suits them. I focus on helping students understand the material rather than simply memorising answers, as this gives them the confidence to tackle challenging topics independently.
Lessons will typically be one hour. However, I am happy to discuss different lengths if necessary. I offer in-person and online sessions and I am based in Angel, North London.
I have a first-class History degree from the University of Leeds and I am currently studying Physiotherapy at King's College London. I am DBS checked and, while I am new to tutoring, my extensive and varied academic experience has given me a strong understanding of studies and examinations, across a range of subjects.
I primarily offer tuition to KS2 and KS3 pupils in English, Science, Maths and History, as well as general academic support. I also offer GCSE tuition in English, History, Classical Civilisation, Biology and PE.
