About Abigail
First sessions involve a quick assessment of your current playing level. We play immediately. I listen to your hands to identify areas for growth. My 13 years of playing and teaching inform every correction I offer.
Song requests are always turned into simplified arrangements to get you playing faster. This approach builds confidence for performance-focused students and kids alike. We will refine your mechanics until they become effortless. You will see progress in your dexterity within a few weeks.
Each session builds on the last to ensure steady improvement. I look forward to hearing you play your first full song.

Music became my primary language long before I finished my BM Guitar at Humber College. My journey started as a way to connect with my roots while navigating a new culture. I have since taught 442 students ranging from teens to advanced hobbyists. Developing technical proficiency in fingerpicking or lead guitar requires a clear roadmap.
I emphasize scales and modes to help you understand the fretboard on a deeper level. Reading sheet music and tabs is a standard part of our technical training. We will also cover acoustic technique and proper tuning and maintenance. Improvisation and soloing become natural once you master your chord transitions and barre chords.
I want to see you play the songs that actually matter to you. Your musical goals remain my primary focus throughout our time together.
