About Aimee
I am currently at university and am considering a career in teaching. I am very passionate about French which was my favourite subject throughout school, especially at GCSE and A-Level and I am continuing with my French studies as I am joining the French Society at my university. I achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A* at A-Level so I am confident with the French language which, combined with my teaching work experience, sets me up well for French tutoring. I know that French can be tricky but with the right practice it can be really enjoyable and will become much easier. Plus a good grasp of French will be a highly beneficial skill as you go through life. I will tailor lessons to your specific needs and we can work at a pace you are comfortable with until we build your confidence.

I offer lessons to GCSE French students who are in need of some extra help. I can help with reading, listening and speaking alongside grammar. I aim for lessons to be between 30 minutes and 1 hour, to suit the needs of the student. I find that practising dictation exercises aids with both reading and listening while comprehension exercises help more exclusively with reading. I teach speaking via regular practice conversations to build confidence as well as written activities to consolidate the spoken content. I have experience in teaching from a work experience placement that I recently completed in my local school, during which I taught a wide age range and gained various crucial teaching skills such as clear communication, patience and organisation as my responsibilities included teaching younger students how to read, leading group activities and co-leading lessons.
