My classes are funny and also organized. Organisation and structure are two essential points for a good tutor. In fact, I do my program while bringing a touch of freshness and my aim is also to create a relationship of trust to promote learning better, to make people want to work. I do not have to be there just to teach. I live with my time not to stay with ancestral methods.
I use the skills of the student to help them improve their accent, have conversations in the language of choice in order to improve their oral comprehension based upon their level and use written texts to improve their reading comprehension and reading aloud skills.
I'm here to teach or tutor french to young kids aged 7 to 14. I myself am french and have done my whole high school education in french. I am currently at university and would love to help and teach my native language to others. I am fluent in english and french which is convenient for an easier understanding or translations.
I will give lessons to younger and enthusiastic students who want to learn French or are currently studying it in school and need a bit of extra help outside of the classroom.
I'm a fully qualified French teacher with experience of classroom teaching at all key stages, including adult education. You'll find my enthusiasm for French language and culture positively contagious, and I'll inspire, encourage and motivate you towards your goals.
-Understand the need -Understand the person, their strengths, weaknesses, character... -Articulate the goal -Devise a schedule that will dictate when and how much work should be done to reach the objective -Cultivate the discipline to honour the scheduled tasks Mind you, all of the previous is done as a dialogue with the student, nothing is imposed, as there is no shoe that fits all sizes.
Making sure you communicate in a language on a regular basis is essential to learning vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation skills in my opinion. Depending on your level, I mostly tend to start with an evaluation of your comfort with basic communication, and attempt to find interesting topics for us to discuss in the language. I can also help with exam preparation if necessary.
I really enjoy teaching and helping others, and I hope that as a French person I can provide you with some cultural background and knowledge, which will make learning the language much more enjoyable. Working with children also helped me improve the 'fun' aspect of my lessons, as I had to make sure the latter were entertaining so that I could make them engage with the subject.

Hi everyone! I'm currently studying English literature, history and translation at the University of Leeds for a year as an Erasmus exchange student. I can offer some French lessons as this is my mother tongue.
I am German and Polish from Luxembourg who went to a French school. I have done both French and German high school degrees and I have worked as a tutor at my school beforehand. I try to understand where the pupil needs help and figure out the best suited methodology for their efficient learning as well as studying.
My mother was a teacher so I base my lessons on what she has told me and taught me. I also base it on how I was taught French and not how it is taught in English schools. I believe in trying to communicate in French throughout the lesson, if possible after a few lessons, to help you get used to hearing it and not just written.
I offer tailored sessions to school pupils wishing to build their confidence and improve their performance in specific areas. I have a huge store of materials, including many interactive materials and music-based activities as well as more traditional methods. As I currently teach in an outstanding secondary school I am able to provide expert guidance in improving exam performance.
I like to form a trusting relationship with my students in order for them to feel comfortable enough to tell me anything they don't understand. I tend to dedicate one class to each topic in order to fully be able to explore this topic in detail until the student understands, however this does depend on the size of the topic and the student's ability.
I start off with basics and build up. I can teach high school students, A levels, and any beginners. I believe that a combination of writing, listening and reading is crucial to a full language development. I love seeing progress.
I believe that the best way to teach depends very much on the individual because we all learn in different ways, therefore I try to tailor my tutoring as best I can to each individual pupil.
Lessons from beginner level to more advanced levels. I am a native French speaker and will focus on spoken French as well as teaching grammar rules. I will always adapt my methods to the audience so for a younger audience, I will try and teach through games and songs.
I generally start my tutoring by asking what is the most effective way the person in question learns, is it a visual learning, hearing, reading, writing and based on that I will find exercises that will stimulate the learning process. If the person in question doesn't know I will give him/her a starter test to see which method is most effective and what level we are starting from.

I have taught for 35 years in Leeds schools and continue to tutor in retirement. I know my subject inside out and can tailor lessons to suit you with emphasis on speaking or grammar as you wish.
