About Thea
I study politics as I am passionate about understanding and explaining patterns in government and society, an enthusiasm I hope to impart to my students. During sixth form I was politics prefect, on the Head Girl team, and led my school's senior debating society, showing confidence in expressing opinions and forming logical arguments, skills key in studying politics. I also have experience in tutoring primary school literacy.
Alongside a passion for politics, having refined my exam technique, I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE & 3 A*s at A Level (Politics, Geography, and an EPQ on socialism in Spain) and an A in Spanish.
Having shadowed work and canvassed for political parties in the past, I have gained hands-on experience in the world of politics, which is evident in my passion for the subject.

My tutoring is online for A Level politics students. Sessions are flexible in terms of time depending on what works best for students, but typically they will last for one hour.
During my A Levels I optimised my exam technique for Politics Edexcel but am also happy to apply my skills and knowledge to AQA & OCR.
I am flexible in my teaching approach and happy to explain tricky content through creating essay plans together, covering all three assessment objectives, as well as helping master exam technique. Students will receive revision material I created during my A Levels, including a list of 123 essay plan prompts covering content from UK Politics, UK government, and Global politics, as well as exemplar essay material highlighting exactly what went well.
Although I am not a qualified politics marker, I am happy for students to send in work prior to each session that I will look at for us then to discuss together what went well and areas for improvement.
