About Darius
I’m a first-year Mathematics and Economics student at the University of Leeds with strong academic results, including A grades at A-level and grade 9s at GCSE. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and improve their maths skills through clear, patient, and tailored tutoring. My approach to tutoring is patient, structured, and focused on building real understanding — not just memorisation. I tailor each lesson to the student's needs, whether they’re struggling with a specific topic, preparing for exams, or aiming for top grades. I use a combination of worked examples, interactive questioning, and guided practice to help students engage actively with the material. I break down complex ideas into manageable steps and regularly check understanding to ensure nothing is missed. I'm also happy to go over homework, exam papers, or specific schoolwork. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, but I’m flexible based on the student’s preferences and attention span. I have recent, first-hand experience with the current curriculum, having achieved: - A in A-Level Maths - A in A-Level Further Maths - A in A-Level Economics - 9s in GCSE Maths and Further Maths I’m currently studying Mathematics and Economics at the University of Leeds, which gives me a strong foundation in both the subject and the logic behind it. My lessons are ideal for: - GCSE and A-Level students (Maths and Further Maths) - KS3 students needing support or stretch/challenge - Anyone looking to improve their confidence and results in maths
