About Holly
I am a fluent French speaker who graduated from King's College London with a degree in French Language and Literature.
Since then, I have spent considerable amounts of time in France and worked in the language in my day job.
I have tutored French throughout my time living in London, across a range of ages from 9 to late-50s.
My least favourite phrase is 'I am too old to learn a language'. Yes, the adult brain learns differently to a five-year-old's - but it has also 'learnt how to learn'!
I am hugely passionate about French and think that learning a language can give you a window into a culture that you can't otherwise access.
My lessons are held online and can be used to prepare you for a trip, study for an exam or simply learn for the sake of it!

My lessons will take a friendly but structured approach to improving your level of French.
First, we will discuss your current levels and goals and tailor our programme around your needs.
I am a firm believer in gaining a concrete understanding of grammar and structure, not just learning set phrases and vocabulary, as is often the case in Anglosphere language learning.
That way, you are better prepared to hold conversations, respond in the moment and better express yourself on the spot!
