About Rowan
I am currently a senior at Cheshire Academy, CT en route to get my high school diploma as well as the The International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. I am also part of the New York University (NYU) class of 2030 and will be starting my liberal studies in fall of 2026. I am dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for beginner students and ensuring they feel comfortable to ask questions during my lessons. Students' confidence and well-being is a priority to me; I always keep that in mind when teaching French to students.

I approach learning with positivity and motivation; I adapt to students' learning styles and habits and teach in a way that is most efficient for them, as well as ensuring their well-being and keeping them engaged and eager to learn. I am capable of teaching levels 1 and 2 of French (beginner/intermediate). A typical lesson plan would be introducing the topic and what they should know by the end of the lesson, interactive (oral/written) practice with guiding and error-solving, and then a time where the student can show the skills that they've learned to me, with error-solving only at the end of the lesson. I like to visualize themes and concepts with pictures, arrows, mind maps, and study cheats.
