About Chris
I am a recent Master of Health Administration graduate from the University of Miami Herbert Business School. My educational background in Spanish consists of passing the AP Spanish exam at SLUH, obtaining a Spanish minor from Mizzou, and studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Personally, I have participated in a Global Brigades mission trip in Nicaragua where I utilized my Spanish to translate between the natives and the other volunteers. Upon moving to Miami, FL to pursue my graduate studies I spoke Spanish daily as it was both customary and necessary in day-to-day living.

My teaching methods consist of focusing on communication and practical uses of the language via the Communicative Language Teaching Method. This approach emphasizes interaction as both the means and goal of studying the language. I personally found immersing myself as much as possible into the language helped best. However, I like to implement different learning styles depending on how best the student learns.
