About Bailey
I have been playing flute for a total of five years and have been assisting directors for about three. I have directing and teaching experience with children in 4th grade through 6th grade in beginning bands and jazz band. I am 14 years old and going into my freshman year of high school. I currently play seven instruments and am learning more.

My lesson plan is most gravitated towards students in 3rd-6th grade. In my experience i have gravitated most toward Essential Elements. So, in a lesson we will be following the Essential Elements workbooks- unless a student provides their own materials. A typical lesson plan would depend on level but a standard lesson layout would be- ~5 minutes on a warmup (long tones, scales, arpeggios, short excerpts or duets, etc) followed by working through one to two pages from a students workbook. This would then be followed by music that would be practiced during lessons (while in lessons it will be practiced and taught, it is expected to be practiced outside of lessons too). To conclude a lesson, the student would have the opportunity ask any questions about a piece, receive new assignments ,and if time- complete a short excerpt or duet once again.
