About Claudia

I graduated from the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory in Havana, Cuba in classical music and from Emesp - Tom Jobim, São Paulo in jazz piano and mpb. I started playing the piano at the age of 4 and the transverse flute at 10, and I studied about 16 years in music schools and forma institutions, in addition to many years of professional experience as a performer and composer. I have been teaching for more than 14 years at all levels and my method covers almost any need of the interested person, from the first steps to advanced topics. I love to teach and i thing my lessons are fun and you will learn a lot.

About the lesson

I am very open to listen to the specificities of each person and work on the basis of individuality and not standardization of teaching, I believe in teaching art as a vehicle for transformation.
Methodology based on Cuban and Brazilian music teaching, I organize the classes always observing the specific needs and individualities of each person:
- Technique: scales, triads, arpeggios, reading studies
- Pieces: popular or classical music chosen by the student or me, where we can develop arrangements and interpretive studies of the pieces
- Other issues: if necessary, we can work on issues related to scenic fears, technical and physical problems such as pain when playing, etc.

Claudia's response
Excellent student. He studies the contents I suggest in the classes. He is very interested in learning to improvise and is doing very well. At the moment we are developing tools to support him in playing beautiful solos.

Claudia is not only a very talented musician but also a great teacher. I am that lost cause, I love music, piano but I have rhythmic difficulties and others, so when I met Claudia, she gave me confidence, through her great method, she always says that it doesn't depend only on talent but also on practice. She always encourages me during the lessons, and she introduces me to pianists of different styles, which is also very important for the students to get to know the piano universe better. I am very happy to have classes with her, it is very rewarding and she is an amazing person!

It is a pleasure to recommend Claudia as a music teacher. I contacted her in important moments for me. When I was trying to apply to the Conservatory of Tatuí. She helped me listen and understand things that I couldn't at that moment, and gave me the preparation I needed. I am grateful to her for that. Nowadays I look for her from Peru, with occasional virtual lessons to clarify doubts about important topics in music theory and music in general.
I have admiration for her, she is a beautiful musical expression of creation and for sure a high level music teacher.

Claudia is a very patient and caring teacher. My friend recommended her work and I started taking piano lessons. I had taken lessons on other occasions but always gave up because I was aches and discouraged. She has helped me a lot in this sense because she knows about body conscience and now for the first time I can play without feeling pain. I am also studying technique and harmony and in general I choose the songs I want to play from jazz to Brazilian music. This makes all the difference because I am playing many songs that I like. I highly recommend it!
