About Daniel
I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and Oxford University with First Class Degrees in Flute Performance and Music. Currently active as a professional flautist, I have performed with orchestras such as the Philharmonia, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, and City of Birmingham Symphony, and been a member of the of the European Union Youth Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra. I have won competitions such as the British Flute Society Young Artist prize.
I have many years of private instrumental teaching experience and hold an LRAM teaching diploma with distinction. I am able to travel or teach at home and am willing to teach from beginners to advanced on the Flute, and up to Grade 5 on the Piano. I have taught from ages 7 to 57! I tailor each lesson to the student's age and level. For younger children, I tend to make lessons more fun with lots of games and praise. For older students who have more goals and maybe wish to take exams, we can work in a structured way on the musical and technical work they need to undertake in order to achieve their aims.
