About Jennifer
After gaining Grade 8 Flute in my teens I have played flute and bass guitar in bands for over 30 years, performing and writing music. I trained as a secondary school English Teacher, and since then have worked for over 20 years in charities and organisations that support and promote education. I have worked as a press officer for charities including the Advisory Centre for Education, as a PhD Programme Manager at the European Institute, London School of Economics and as an Admissions Officer for the charity Ambitious About Autism.
I combine a love of playing the flute with a passion for education, teaching beginner lessons that give you a strong foundation in flute playing and that allow you to explore music making.

I tailor all lessons to your needs, to develop a lifelong love of music through technique, music reading, music writing, creativity and improvisation. I passed Grade 8 flute while at school and have performed in bands in venues across London. Lessons are focused and fun. I strive to give you a good foundation in flute playing and music making, enabling you to experiment and to enjoy learning, and to start you off on your path of flute playing.
Lessons typically last half an hour and are for beginners of all ages.
