About Ester
I love English! I didn’t always like it, in fact, I hated it but once I unlocked the power of words and story writing I loved it! I have been teaching English writing skills to students in special education for the last three years. I have worked with kids aging 3-22 years old. I love learning with my students and seeing different ways of learning. I am a mom to two girls and love watching Toy Story. I also enjoy reading and writing.

My teaching method is a hands-on experience. I start by giving examples, then work together and then allow for the student to do it on their own with me as a support. I believe in visual supports to help the student understand what they are learning. Most of my lesson plans are designed for grades Pre-K - 3rd grade. With this in mind, I believe in allowing them to use their creativity and imagination to help them learn. This is done through little activities throughout the lesson. I also believe in positive affirmation as it can become frustrating for the student to learn new skills. However, as we work together we can accomplish the common goal.

Ester has lots of experience teaching, especially children with disabilities or who may suffer from some form of learning disability and thus be behind in their learning development. Ester is patient, caring, and understanding but very goal oriented. She always strives to put those she is teaching first and spends countless hours figuring out how to best help them progress. Ester truly is an amazing teacher and will bless the lives of the children and families she works with.
