About Coach Q
COACHING EXPERIENCE:
I have worked extensively with athletes age 5-45. I have been fortunate to participate in many Skills Camps for student-athletes, and have been able to transfer that experience into training fellow collegiate athletes as well.
Whether it's teaching the basics to kids trying to learn a fun new activity, or executing intense training sessions to truly improve skill, I can adapt to the needs and desires of each individual. This includes specific skill work like ball-handling and shooting, some strength and conditioning, as well as understanding the more advanced concepts of the game.
I also have experience teaching other sports and those with special needs, so I have seen many different levels of skill and mentality and can adapt well to them all.
ATHLETIC HIGHLIGHTS:
I played 4 years of collegiate basketball as well as some experience playing in Portugal; so I have played with, and against, a high volume of talent.
During my career, I was able to accrue numerous accomplishments such as:
Led my conference in scoring,
Selected to All-Conference Team,
First Conference Championship in school history,
Player of the Week honors,
Most wins in a single season in school history.

I am primarily a coach of individual skills, with a focus on the collegiate basketball mindset. The goal of my sessions is to simultaneously build the body and mind of an individual to a level that they are prepared for any situation. By helping students understand how to see and approach the game, they establish confidence in their own skills that transfers to all in-game scenarios.
Specifics:
I tend to prioritize ball handling and attacking in gamelike situations as well as gamelike shooting, while intertwining some key strength and conditioning work that helps with consistency while fatigued. I make sure to train an individual in all of the fundamental aspects so that when we move on to advanced techniques, it becomes that much easier to understand and emulate properly.
There are many ways to accomplish similar goals, and my job is to find the ways that work for you and your child. With that, any personal goals or preferences of the students are always welcomed and will be acknowledged.
