About Annie
I love education, and I love teaching! I struggled as a student with reading and math, so I do whatever I can to support my students best learning method. I want to be the teacher that I needed when I was a student. I enjoy finding new ways to teach and engage students! I love being active, reading, listening to podcasts, organizing, and having fun with my family!

I am a firm believer in understanding the why of what you are learning, and doing it in an engaging way! Reading and math are essential skills, but that doesn’t mean they need to be boring while you’re practicing your skills. I have a bachelors of science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in middle school science. I taught 2nd grade for 2 years and 5th grade for 2 years. This last school year I focused on math intervention K-5 at my school.
