About ANDREW
I’m Andy, a qualified Law teacher and former Legal Practitioner with a real passion for helping students understand and enjoy the subject. I’ve taught Law for over 14 years in sixth-form and college settings, supporting learners of all abilities — from those aiming for top grades to those who need help building confidence and getting back on track.
Before teaching, I worked in criminal law, supporting clients in custody and preparing case files. This practical experience allows me to bring real-world insight into my lessons, making topics clearer, more engaging and easier to relate to.
I’m calm, patient and highly organised, and I take pride in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. Whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with a particular topic, or simply want to strengthen your understanding, I’ll tailor each lesson to your needs and learning style.
I’ve worked with GCSE and A-Level students, adult learners, and those returning to education after a break. My goal is always the same: to help you feel confident, motivated and fully prepared to succeed in Law.

I take a calm, structured and student-centred approach to tutoring. My aim is always to make Law feel clear, manageable and logical, even for students who may be struggling with confidence or complex topics. I break down difficult concepts into simple steps, use real-world examples from legal practice, and check understanding regularly so students feel supported and in control of their learning.
My lessons typically last 60 minutes, although I also offer 90-minute sessions for students preparing for exams or working on extended essays. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, whether that’s improving exam technique, understanding case law, revising key topics or building overall confidence.
I am a qualified Law teacher (PGCE) with 20+ years of experience teaching A-Level and GCSE Law in sixth-form and college settings. I also have a background as a Legal Practitioner in criminal law, which allows me to bring practical insight and real-life context to the subject. Over the years, I’ve supported a wide range of learners, including high-achieving students, those who find Law challenging, and adult learners returning to study.
