About Sam
Hi, I’m Sam, a dedicated, Level 2 qualified tennis coach with a background in high-level competitive play. My aim is to help every player grow in skill, confidence, and enjoyment of the game. I’m an LTA Level 2 certified coach with experience coaching children, teens, and adults, both in 1-to-1 sessions and group settings. I’ve been ranked Top 10 in the UK as a junior, represented Middlesex, and played for Loughborough and Lancaster University teams, experience I now bring to my coaching. My sessions are tailored to each player’s level and goals, whether that’s learning the basics, improving technique, or sharpening advanced skills like footwork, serve, and match strategy. I take a clear, encouraging approach that helps players understand what they’re doing and why — creating lasting improvement, not just quick fixes. Lessons typically run for 1 hour, and I focus on making them challenging, fun, and rewarding. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where players feel supported, motivated, and proud of their progress. I believe in coaching with professionalism, patience, and purpose!

About My Coaching Approach My coaching sessions are designed to be engaging, focused, and adapted to each player. Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or trying to fine-tune your match performance, I make sure every session is purposeful and enjoyable. Teaching Style & Methodology: I focus on building solid technique, then layering in footwork, movement, and tactical awareness. For advanced players, I help refine areas like serve consistency, shot selection, and match play IQ. Sessions are built around your goals, and I give clear, simple feedback you can actually use. Typical Lesson Format: Sessions usually run for 1 hour, but I can adjust to shorter or longer formats based on what you need. Each lesson includes a warm-up, technical work, drills or match-style play, and specific feedback to take away. Experience & Background: I’m an LTA Level 2 certified coach with experience coaching 1-on-1 and in groups, from children to adults. I’ve been a Top 10 UK junior, represented Middlesex, and played for both Loughborough University and Lancaster University teams. I bring that competitive experience into every session. Who It’s For: I coach all ages and levels – from beginners building confidence, to competitive players looking to sharpen their game. Whether you're aiming for rallies, rankings, or just fun and fitness, I’ve got you covered. -*Court booking fee not included and will have to be payed by tutee.

Perfect! Sam is a great coach! He knows how to adapt his advice so that it’s clear and easy to understand. He’s also very patient and really goes at my own pace which makes the lesson super enjoyable ! I highly recommend him!
