Patience, and encouraging as much independent application as possible. I believe children learn best by doing, and that lessons should be broken up well by exercises and activities. Students engage best with the subject when it is made relevant to them, therefore I try to connect the subject with elements of my students world to help them understand and enjoy the subject further.
I am a former science teacher who is now studying for a Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation masters at UCL. I achieved a First class degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Nottingham specialising in Biology and Chemistry. I also received an A* in English A level and have three years experience in creative industries as a new business and marketing manager.
I am studying a Masters student at UCL, studying Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation. My undergraduate degree was in Natural Sciences, specialising in Biology and Chemistry in which I achieved a First Class Hons. I taught Biology for the year after graduating to 8 different classes from years 7 to 11, also teaching general sciences including Physics and Chemistry to years 7 and 8. I was made Head of School at my secondary school and was awarded an Academic Scholarship and the English Prize in my final year of school.
