About Jeremiah
Hello, I am Jeremiah, I am a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in biology and German. I have two years of tutoring and instructional experience, gained from being passionate about helping students succeed in science and the languages. Alongside my academic training in biology, this teaching experience has reinforced my commitment to education and mentorship, and provides me with the foundation to become a great tutor.

My approach as a tutor is student-centered, adaptable, and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I break down complex biological concepts into manageable ideas, using active recall, practice questions, diagrams, and real-world examples to reinforce learning. I encourage students to think critically rather than memorize information passively.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying areas of difficulty. From there, we work through concepts step-by-step, apply them through practice problems or discussion, and end with a short recap and study strategies for independent review.
What sets me apart is my combination of tutoring and instructional experience alongside my background as a fourth-year Biology student. I understand the challenges students face because I have worked through advanced biology coursework myself, and I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
My lessons are suited for high school and undergraduate students studying biology, including introductory biology, cell biology, genetics, anatomy and physiology, and related life science courses.
