I am a largely self-taught artist who has dabbled in cartoon and anime styles, but has returned to realistic drawing practises. Alongside university, I practise my passion and draw for commission. My current big project is character designs for an associate's graphic novel.
I firmly believe that anyone can become an artist - with practise! As an individual who has loved drawing for the past 12 years, I am still growing and refining my style. I feel that it is also effective to take time to practise alongside a tutor or a friend, so that your mistakes do not become ingrained in your practise. A second pair of eyes is also vital to allowing you to appreciate your achievements and not fall prey to feelings of despair.
As a tutor, I will help provide detailed support for any current difficulties you may be facing, and will walk you through some of the basic drawing techniques until you are comfortable to continue yourself. Lessons will be tailored to individual needs, as every artist has their own technique, and support for outside of lessons will be available.
It is impossible to put a grade or skill level to someone's artistic talents, as art is such a subjective piece of media. It is however possible to aid individuals in improving their methods, and into becoming happy with their own work.
