About Julianna

My passion for languages has shaped both my academic journey and professional career.
Learning a language is an incredible journey which can feel daunting at times. Having obtained a university degree in French and Italian, alongside a TEFL qualification, I understand firsthand the challenges that language learners face, from grasping difficult grammar rules, to building the confidence to use the skills in spoken or written format. This personal experience has shaped me into an empathetic, patient, and highly supportive tutor who believes that the process should be rewarding and enjoyable.
My TEFL training ensures that I apply effective, proven techniques tailored to how the human brain naturally acquires a second language. I approach every student with professionalism and enthusiasm, whether I am helping a student with their grades, a professional with business fluency, or teaching a complete beginner conversational basics.
I am fully invested in the success, growth, and confidence of my students.

About the lesson

My lessons are interactive and tailored to individual needs. I believe that learning a language should be engaging, informative and highly practical, with a focus on real-world immersion. A typical lesson combines structural learning with dynamic conversation. I adapt my resources to personal learning styles utilising digital media, conversational scenarios and role-play, as well as targeted pronunciation and listening exercises.
Lessons typically last around 60 minutes, the ideal duration to maintain focus whilst covering vocabulary, grammar, and conversation. Intensive 90 minute sessions can also be arranged upon request.
I am a certified language specialist with a university degree in French and Italian, providing me with a deep linguistic and cultural understanding of both languages. I also hold a TEFL qualification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).
I welcome students of all backgrounds and ages. I can help whether you are a complete beginner, a student looking for tailored academic support and exam preparation, or you are looking to build conversational fluency for work, relocation, or travel.
