About Suhana
Suhana Simran has completed both her Certificate and Diploma courses in French (with distinction) from the Centre for Foreign Languages, St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. She has graduated in English Literature and has a teaching experience of more than three years.

My teaching method for French is based on a simple motto: language learning should be fun! Of course, there are practical requirements like school syllabi or workplace needs that must be met, but language learning also needs to be an immersive experience. This is the only proven way to ensure that retention of lessons learnt in the classes is optimum.
Following is the layout for complete beginners in the language (subject to change based on the needs of the student):-
- First few classes would be about learning basic words, phrases and core pronunciations. This is essential before delving into more complex grammar rules.
- I always tie my grammar classes to comprehension and story-telling. Learning the grammar of a new language can be daunting and boring, so interactive sessions are a must here.
- Most students acquire basic comprehension after about ten classes. This is the time to hone basic writing skills.
- Beyond quizzes, handouts and tests, I conduct regular speaking sessions with my students and recommend extra resources like books, movies and video sessions.
