I believe that the best way to teach a language and keep students engaged is by making lessons relatable and quickly re-usable.
As a consequence, I try to make my classes as personal and relevant as possible, tailoring exercises to student specificities and needs.
I usually alternate between grammar lessons and speaking lessons in order to maintain the student's interest and keep it interactive, while also building speaking skills and vocabulary.
Being brought up by a mother working as an FLE teacher (French as a Second Language), I have always been surrounded by a pedagogic and educational environment.
I therefore naturally started to teach as a part-time job during my undergraduate studies, giving French and maths lessons for 3 years.
I had the chance to teach a fairly large spectrum of students whose motivations and ages varied greatly.
I hold a double Bachelor in Mathematics and Economics from McGill University (Montreal).
I am currently pursuing an MSc in Machine Learning and Data Science at UCL.
