About Laurie
I was born and raised in France near the Alps, a region famous for its skiing and cheese. I have a degree in neurobiology, which means I am fascinated by how our brains learn. I want to make my lessons fun and interactive rather than just memorization by heart. I have given French literature classes in the past for the Baccalaureate. I am patient, highly encouraging, and excited to help you discover the joy of speaking French with confidence.

I am happy to adapt to whatever needs you have and give personalised lessons designed for students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced learners. I use different styles of teaching, from grammar exercises and story-based active listening to real-life conversations. I can adapt to your interests or if you are a student enrolled in french class, I am more than happy to adapt our session with the curriculum and help you understand better. We can take the time to prepare for classes and upcoming quizzes. In general, I can plan a session from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the age and level of the student. I am dedicated to help you enjoy learning a new language and culture.
