My methodology relies first on identifying the student’s stronger and weaker points. Then, I try and split any lesson in two parts, the first one being the lesson proper (theory), the second one being exercises (where I can assess if the theory has been properly understood). Of course, the lesson will be adapted to the the learner’s particular needs, aims, areas of interest and things being covered in school programmes. I am myself a very self-demanding, which I think is a good thing for students to benefit from.
I have given private tuition to a lot of different students from different levels and ages (from 7 to 48, for school, work, travel and leisure). I did this with many different subjects. This has given me quite a lot of experience which I will be able to put to good use with learners wishing to improve their French. I am a very friendly teacher, able to play and make the lesson funny. (Experiences with children as teacher and scoutmaster)
