About Hugues
I began working as a professor and tutor when I was studying. I was in political sciences and gave “general culture” lessons for students to get accepted into high-end schools called “Sciences Po”. I taught philosophy, sociology and news analytics and summarization. I then gave French lessons in the US. Now I am working with US universities and the US National Science Foundation to develop a new methodology for students to learn tech by practicing around true scientific projects: they help professors and advance science as they get promoted.

I taught French for years, and lived in the US (NYC) for 13 years. I mix this experience with a thorough business acumen: corporate strategy in SaaS, multiple startups launched. In my current startup, I work with the best US researchers and the National Science Foundation to reinvent how we let people upskill in tech. Now, I reapply the methodology for languages. Excellent! Excellent tutor. Hugues was very interested in learning about my level of French, my goals, and my timeline -- and he understands where my strengths and weaknesses lie, so he is able to tailor my lesson to benefit me, specifically; that's really important to me. I also appreciate that he challenges me to converse, while being kind and encouraging, and making me feel not quite as disastrous as i obviously am at speaking and understanding French.

Perfect! Hugues is an engaged and interactive in-person French tutor. Getting set up is quick; he is very responsive. I also appreciate the personalized approach and tailoring subjects to my interests. So far so good, although I am just beginning my French journey.
